In a few Words

Delwar Jahid is an Alberta based Canadian with Bangladesh descent. With his background in journalism and academics and his passionate support of the local community he is now seeking to address inequalities in our society on a larger scale.

With his work as an author and journalist Delwar Jahid is best known as an advocate for human rights, press freedom, and peace. His academic background and his involvement in local community organizations build a good base for a post in the political field.

A strong community is able to bring change to society. A community can be defined as strong, when its individuals abide by the same rules and measures, and a democratically defined goal is widely accepted.

Delwar Jahid's passionate involvement in support of grassroots developments is his approach to strengthen our communities and to enable change.

His work seeks to address issues of inequality and injustice found in our society, like e.g. poverty, access to education, access to health care, and the promotion of mental and physical health through recreational activities, be it cultural, sportive, or intellectual.

A healthy, happy, and content society may be the key to a peaceful together of mankind.
